Born in Madrid, Sonia attained her degree from The Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza and continued studying at Broadway Dance Center in New York.

As a professional flamenco dancer, work includes: "Joaquín Cortés" (Pasión Gitana, world tour), "Rafael Aguilar" (Carmen, Bolero, and as a soloist on Rango) and "Rafael Amargo" (Estriptis, Spanish tour).

Her musical theatre work includes: "Cha-chá in "Grease"; "Roxie" in "Chicago" (Spanish tour); "Sor Amnesia" in "Nunsense"; "Maria" and understudy "Sally" in "When Harry met Sally"; understudy "Rosie", Dance Captain and swing in "MAMMA MIA!" Madrid; and as "La Gatuna" in "Zorro the Musical" (West End).

As a choreographer she has worked on the films "Los Managers" (F. Guillém Cuervo) and, "Camarón" (Jaime Chavarri), and on television. Sonia was Assistant Choreographer and Assistant Dance Captain on "Zorro the musical".

She was also Resident choreographer on "MAMMA MIA!" Barcelona and Assistant Associate Choreographer on the Spanish tour. TV includes: "Family Rock" (Presenter) and " El Gong Show" (President of the judges).

Sonia is pleased to be working with MAMMA MIA! again on the South African tour.
